Chad’s bodybuilding career started two years before his accident, in 2005. His accident left him paralyzed from the waist down and he would have to rely on a wheelchair to help him get around. Read more about Chad’s Story here

In 2000, Chad first began to dabble in bodybuilding. At the time, he weighed about 160 pounds with about 15% body fat standing right at 6′ tall. Three years later he had bulked up to 240 lbs with 15-18% body fat.

In October of 2003, Chad stepped on the bodybuilding stage for the first time. In preparation for the stage, Chad shredded 45 pounds and got down to ~6% body fat in only 12 weeks.

He finished in 9th place out of the 11 contestants. It was then that Chad realized his bodybuilding ambitions outweighed his genetic potential. He continued to lift weights and train but the competition circuit no longer interested him.

Chad has always had a desire in his heart to help others. His bodybuilding platform allows him to show that obstacles don’t get in our way to stop us; they come into our lives to strengthen us and make us better.

In March of 2005, Chad’s life would change forever. A motocross accident would strip Chad of his ability to walk. He had severe damage to his spinal cord and it would be months before he was introduced back to ‘normal’ life.

Chad made a tremendous effort to gain back the muscle he had lost after his accident. He refused to believe that he would never be able to workout like he used to and began lifting weights while still in his hospital bed.

Chad is extremely motivated and strives to do everything to the absolute best of his abilities. He aims to prove that limitations are something we place on ourselves and that we are all more capable than we know.

Chad is very passionate about Wheelchair Bodybuilding. Throughout his life, Chad’s always had the desire to help people. He did so as a paramedic before his accident took that career away from him.

Despite his injuries, Chad still aims to encourage those who have run across hard times. He regained his physical strength by altering his strength training and diet regimen to overcome his physical limitations.

Making a difference in others’ lives is at the top of Chad’s priority list. He finds that through bodybuilding he’s able to prove that we all can overcome limitations put on us by ourselves and others.

Chad combines his mental and physical strength to inspire all those who cross his path. He combines his physical success with his mental success, as he shares his story of overcoming adversity.

Chad’s passion has inspired people all over the world and the relationships he’s built with fellow competitors and many others will continue to push Chad and motivate us all.
